Business Manager

Scope of the Position
 
1. The Business Manager will be responsible to the CEO for all aspects of efficient business management of the company operations.
 
2. The specific responsibilities of the position will include financial management, accounts, purchases and acquisitions, payroll, budget preparation and financial reportings and pro-active marketing and promotion of business activities of the company.
 
 
Duties
 
1. Be responsible for the business and financial management and the preparation of budgets and budget reviews.
 
2. Be responsible for the appraisal, analysis and timely reporting of the company's financial status to ensure effective utilisation of resources. Control administration of accounts, account enquiries and client quotations.
 
3.Administer appropriate system-based procedures for book-keeping, maintenance of debtor's ledger, control of expenditure, maintenance of financial records and receiving of monies.
 
4. Control, oversee and audit company purchases and maintain an assets register.
 
5. Provide managerial support to the CEO in the areas of financial and business advice, personnel management, business enterprises, trade etc.
 
7. Supervise the payment of salaries and wages to staff and the efficient conduct of the payroll.
 
8. Provide supervision and guidance to the Accounts Clerk.
 
9. Perform other duties as directed by the CEO and consistent with the position.
 
 
Education, Experience and Job Knowledge
 
1. A degree in accounting or business administration.
 
2. A minimum of five (5) years experience in financial and business management.
 
 
The Award
 
$38,272 annum. The contract is for a period of three [3] years, renewable subject to negotiation. Termination may be at one month's notice by either party.
